Please tell us about yourself and your professional journey.

Since 2000 I gained experience in the management, fiscal and financial consultancy area. For almost 10 years I have been CFO and in charge of the operations and strategy within a French multinational, operated for the Romanian market. My role was based in Romania but I had the chance to be the leader of various financial and strategic projects across our region countries such as Turkey, Greece, Moldavia and Ukraine.

In 2005 I started my consultancy company and during the summer of 2015 I reopened it under the name of Trusted Advisor, due to a rebranding process.

Since then, I decided to present my expertise and to support the Romanian businesses’ performance who are in need of structure and tools for control, delegation, optimization.

What inspired you to choose a career in financial, tax, and management consulting?

Economics and finance is applied mathematics and helps people achieve great results by controlling their emotions. Me also I am a person vulnerable sometimes and logics and structure became my basics due to exercising. I consider that we become stronger when we understand our opposite sides and how life is combining all.

What are your main areas of expertise?

Fiscal optimization, tailored consultancy, digitalization and integration – support in real time.

Can you share one of your most successful projects or achievements?

During my career, a lot of empowering projects became successful. I can’t present just one, but I can share one of my heart projects – CFO, the program who allows the specialists in finance to grab the next step into their professional career, a program which rapidly evolved and turned many middle-managers into great financial directors.

What challenges have you faced as a woman in this field, and how did you overcome them?

As a woman I haven’t crossed challenges but as for any other field there are things I had to overcome, for e.g. how to persuade the clients to work as a consultant and approach them with useful and practical financial, tax and strategic advices.

How do you stay updated with changing tax laws and financial regulations?

I read a lot. In our area, things are changing a lot and if you can’t keep up you will soon lose value and clients’ engagement.

What makes your consulting approach different from others?

Nowadays, I think it is important as an owner or C-level manager to have a good adviser this is what I do mostly I interfere in growing businesses by adapting the right financial consulting strategy. People ask for more tailored consultancy.

How do you help your clients achieve long-term success?

By delivering a full commitment integrated financial strategy. We are not taking about providing traditional financial and tax services but to be able to proper advice upon strategic issues regarding the development of your company, whether you aim to expand, enter on international markets, open more stores, run an-ecommerce business or hire more people on your team even prepare a good product launch campaign.

What leadership values do you believe in the most?

Integrity, empowerment and transparency are essential leadership values that guide a leader’s decision in which I believe.

How do you maintain a balance between work and personal life?

Technology make it hard to disconnect and create firm boundaries, though there are moments I take time for myself, family and friends, so I practice time management.

What advice would you give to young women who want to enter this profession?

Young women should focus on cultivating independence, focus on professional development career, to prioritize education, to stop comparison and avoid external or social media validation.

What are your future goals and plans for your career?

For me, the main goal is to continue to be a personal trusted advisor to my clients and continue to bring energy in our team, generating together a “trusted advisor” vibe in our daily routine.
